3. Using the Light Blocker Sticker
The Light Blocker sticker is a reusable sticker that eliminates light from entering through the Front Lens. For Virtual Reality (VR) mode, install the Light Blocker sticker. For Augmented Reality (AR) mode, remove the Light Blocker sticker.
To remove the Light Blocker sticker:
To install the Light Blocker sticker:
To remove the Light Blocker sticker:
- Gently pull back one corner of the sticker (near the hinge).
- Continue to pull the sticker gently, until the entire sticker is removed from the wearable display.
- Place the sticker onto the glossy side of the sticker backing paper (supplied in the original shipping box).
To install the Light Blocker sticker:
- Using a soft, slightly damp cloth, wipe the Front Lens to remove dust and other debris. We recommend using a micro-fiber cloth such as those used to clean sunglasses. Do not use paper-based products because it will scratch the front lens.
- With the sticker oriented correctly, place one corner of the sticker onto the corner of the Front Lens near the hinge.
- Pull the sticker slightly with one hand while using your other hand to apply the sticker on to the Front Lens.
4. Adjusting the Flicker Control
Over time, all electronic devices tend to drift, and the ST1080 is no exception to that. In order to prolong the image quality of your ST1080, it may need periodic adjustment of what is called "flicker".
Some users are more sensitive to flicker than others. You can enjoy a flicker free image by following these easy steps:
1. Turn on the Controller Unit and put on the HMD Unit (you do not need an HDMI source plugged in for this).
2. Click the "Menu" button two times. You will see "Flicker Left" with a (balance) bar in the right eye, and four boxes in the left eye. The boxes will appear to be flickering.
3. Adjust the Up and Down buttons on the Controller Unit and the boxes will change in brightness. Two boxes will get brighter relative to the other two as you adjust the flicker level. Adjust the flicker until all boxes are approximately the same brightness.
4. Once you have the Left eye adjusted, click the Menu button within ten seconds and the images will switch; you will see "Flicker Right" with a (balance) bar in the left eye, and four boxes in the right eye. Adjust the right eye flicker in the same manner. If the menu times-out (10 seconds), simply click the Menu button three times to get you to the right eye flicker adjust.
5. You can either click the Mute/LED OFF button to escape the MENU screen, scroll through the rest of the menu or wait for it to time-out to get you back to the main screen.
We recommend adjusting the flicker control if you start seeing it, or about once a month.
